Don
Dahlke
- Don Dahlke is an international artist who works throughout
the Caribbean, in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, and in his
hometown of Portland, Oregon. His paintings can be classified
in three distinct styles: whimsical or naive, which captures
the spirit of West Indian life; architectural, with a surrealistic
apprach that gives them dreamy quality; and experimental, which
expresses his more spiritual side. Dahlke studied art in his
native Portland, Oregon, and now divides his time traveling as
much as possible, and when in the Virgin Islands, he explores
"the mystique of the Caribbean. There is so much history
and diversity here." |
